Identification & Fees

Do you charge any fees for foreign currency transactions?

We do not charge any transaction fees EVER at Currency Hub.

Will I need to present my ID when buying or selling currency at Currency Hub?

Absolutely. No matter the transaction amount, you must present primary photo ID. This is either a valid, original Driver's License (only Australian licenses) or Passport (Australian or foreign). For picking up online orders, you'll need to show the original ID that you used when placing the order.

We also accept digital driver's licenses presented via the associated official state certified apps e.g. Vicroads, ServiceNSW, etc.

What forms of photo ID do you accept at Currency Hub?

  1. A valid passport issued by the Commonwealth or any foreign government for international travel must include the customer's photograph and signature.
  2. A valid driver's license, issued by a State, Territory, or foreign country for vehicle operation, containing the customer's photograph, including learner permits and boat/marine licenses.
  3. A State or Territory-issued card for age verification, featuring the customer's photograph and date of birth, such as a Proof of Age card.

Do you accept digital IDs?

Yes, we also accept digital driver's licenses presented via the associated official state certified apps e.g. Vicroads, ServiceNSW, etc.

We do not accept Australia Post Digital ID, or photos/scans of identification documents.

Currencies & Trade

Can I order online at Currency Hub?

Unfortunately we do not offer online ordering at this stage.

Are there minimum or maximum order amounts?

Currently, we do not enforce any minimum or maximum order amounts at Currency Hub. Wether you have spare change left over from a trip to exchange back into AUD or need to get ready for your next holiday, come down to our kiosk at Westfield Knox Level 1 (near Specsavers) for unbeatable rates!

Do you price match if I find a better rate at another currency exchange?

Absolutely! We price match once we have verified the competitor's rate. We accept written evidence of the competitor's rate as a form of verification.

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept cash and card payments at Currency Hub.
